Castle Mountain Resort is Alberta’s most authentic mountain experience. The resort, occupying an exceptionally beautiful, and snowy, location in the Westcastle Valley of the Southwestern Alberta Rocky Mountains, is located 2.5 hours southwest of Calgary. The resort is well known for the best continuous fall-line terrain in Canada and no shortage of powder (900 cm annually). Castle is Alberta’s second largest resort, by acreage, taking skiers and riders back to the roots of the sport with uncrowded slopes, superb hospitality, and fixed grip lifts.

Lake Louise Ski Resort is one of the largest in North America, known for it’s spectacular scenery and versatile terrain.  Just minutes from the village of Lake Louise, the ski area’s exceptional layout allows families and groups of all abilities to ski together with beginner, intermediate and expert runs from every chair. Lake Louise is known for its variety of terrain from gentle slopes and long cruising runs, to glades, chutes and some of the Canadian Rockies most exciting and wide open bowls.

Mt. Norquay Ski Resort continues to be the locals’ gem. Famous for being the training ground of Olympic and World Cup athletes, and with excellent beginner terrain, everyone will love this small, family-friendly resort.  Mt. Nakiska is an ideal mountain for families and those learning to ski. Located in the heart of the spectacular Kananaskis Valley, Nakiska is just 50 mins from Calgary. Nakiska was specifically designed to host the alpine events at the 1988 Calgary Olympics and now meets the needs for visitors from all over the world. Nakiska Ski Area is well known for a few things, including its super long ski season and often being the earliest resort in Canada to open as well as it’s immaculately groomed, wide, Olympic sized runs and also its snowmaking abilities.

Only 30 minutes away from the city, this extraordinary mountain is renowned for impeccable snow conditions. The skiable terrain includes 71 trails and 4 snow parks spread across 3 sides of the mountain. After sundown, 19 trails remain floodlit, which makes Mont-Sainte-Anne the highest vertical drop for night skiing in the country.
