Heritage Park Historical Village is one of Calgary’s must-see attractions for both the history lover and fun seeker alike. Spread out over 127 acres of beautiful parkland overlooking the Rocky Mountains, Heritage Park brings Western Canada’s unique history to life. With captivating new programing this year, visits come jam packed with playful learning experiences — all while helping our community preserve the past and protect the future.
With over 180 exhibits and 55,000 artifacts, there’s a lot of fun at the Park. Hop on the train, set off on a cruise, pan for gold explore the mine shaft, ride the midway rides, join in on a cooking demonstration or sit back and listen to some stories of the days gone by.
We’re making changes this year to welcome even more people to the Park. With significant pathway improvements, new directional signage and a revamped website, everyone will get to see everything! Our accessible railcar will also roll off the production line and right on to the tracks so our mobility-challenged guests can enjoy one of the truly iconic Heritage Park experiences.
Heritage Park is known for its on-site bakery treats and candy store, but the park has great dining options, ranging from midway food to a first-class dining experience on one of the best patios in town.
