The campground is located right on the Peace River, which is a section of the MacKenzie River system, the largest river system in Canada. Riverview Campground
Nature lovers will want to visit the Riverview Campground, located along the North Saskatchewan River in Rocky Mountain House. A camping trip here can also lead to amazing fishing opportunities on the river. If you’re traveling with young kids, they even have a fishing pond just for children. It’s location also makes easy to get to some of the most popular nearby attractions. While you’re staying at Riverview Campground, visit the Rocky Mountain House Historical Site, the Rocky Mountain House Museum, a historical walk of the downtown area, and the Columbian Ice Fields.

Upper Shunda Creek Campground
Located along Shunda Creek in the Canadian Rockies, is the Upper Shunda Creek Campground. This campground is great to spend your trip hiking along scenic trails or go ATVing. The nearby attractions also should not be overlooked. The campground is only one hour away from the Banff/Jasper Icefield Parkway. While you’re in the area, you can also go golfing at one of Alberta’s oldest nine-hole golf courses.

One of the most popular attractions for anyone visiting Alberta is the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A great campground close to the Canadian Rockies is Wagons West RV Park.
