Lake Erie Circle Route

Windsor and neighbouring towns and cities can be grouped together to form Essex County. A region that blends rural tranquillity and urban amenities.

At the Southernmost point of Mainland Canada, find Point Pelee National Park, a nature lover's paradise. This stunning park is home to diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, marshes, and sandy beaches along Lake Erie.

From natural landscapes to historic buildings, Essex County has it all. John R. Park Homestead and Conservation Area will take you back to the 1850s, all while providing a glimpse into the past lives of John and Amelia Park. Taste baking from the fireplace or find workings from the steam engine-powered sawmill at this historic Conservation Area.

More history can be found at Willistead Manor in Windsor, a 36-room mansion nestled within a 15-acre park. Used today as a reception venue for special events, meetings, and much more, this historic building was lived in by some of the area's most influential men, including Hiram Walker of Hiram Walker & Sons Distillery.

There are many deviations and side trips to campgrounds and points of interest along the way.
