Bathurst
Similar to the other Atlantic Canada provinces, Bathurst’s heritage is strongly French, British and Scottish.
The Nepisiguit Centennial Museum and Cultural Centre presents visitors with the history of the area and is worth a visit. Bathurst lays claim to being the snowmobile capital of Atlantic Canada and is a popular destination for outdoor activities, both summer and winter.
On its eastern side, the Nepisiguit River flows gently into beautiful Chaleur Bay, making the area a haven for watersports and fishing.
Stroll through Bathurst’s relaxed downtown core then continue along waterfront boardwalks enjoying spectacular views over the Bay.
