Victoria’s mild and largely snow-free climate make it a popular year-round tourist destination.

With gardens thriving year-round - the most famous, Butchart Gardens, being only a 20km drive from the downtown core - it's no wonder Victoria is nicknamed “The City of Gardens”. During the summertime, thousands of hanging baskets adorn the streets, welcoming visitors and locals alike, creating a kaleidoscope of colour across the city.This is a destination that mustn't be bypassed on an RV road trip. There are plenty of things to do in Victoria, BC. Opportunities for outdoor activities abound from early spring to late fall. Sailing, whale watching, walking, cycling, swimming, beachcombing, hiking, kayaking, ziplining and paddleboarding are just a few of the choices to keep you busy in this beautiful city.

RV parking around downtown Victoria is available but is often hard to find.  There are public parking lots near the Royal BC Museum and City lots close to the waterfront.
