CanaDream is fully engaged on a sustainability journey, using the Future-fit Business Benchmark.
We call this our future-fit path. All our stations across Canada have their own tailored Future-Fit Sustainability Action Plan, focusing on energy efficiency, water saving, reducing waste, lowering emissions and community contribution.
We track our progress by:
- Measuring, reporting and reducing our carbon emissions
- Tackling waste, focusing on reducing, reusing and recycling where we can
- Implementing energy and water saving initiatives
- Progressing Future-Fit Sustainability action plans for each station
- Communicating our CanaDream Cares program to every Guest
- Promoting ways to travel with respect.
Our journey has begun with:
- Installing LED lighting at our branches to reduce our energy use
- Removing single-use plastic packaging from our preparation/bedding kits
- Changing our processes and equipment to conserve water
- Introducing a new recycling system in every station to reduce landfill waste.
